RLN PatchMaker, for commercial use.

When creating patches from any data the patch will consist of (partial) information about that data so that the patched data can be 'reconstructed'.

The most common use of RLN PatchMaker is to create patches of your data or software to either deploy updates to customers or to backup data. But in some cases patches are used to create updates for data that your customers are supplying.

For personal non-commercial use, RLN PatchMaker may be used freely.

Some terminology

Who are you?

When patch archives (ptch-files) are created

• When archiving data and(/or) software that you produce and own all copyrights to we will call the resulting archive an inside patch.
• When archiving (any) other data or software we call the resulting archive an outside patch.

When patch archives (ptch-files) are applied

• When you apply (extract data from) an archive onto your computer we will call it using the patch inside.
• In all other cases we call it using the patch outside.

License options

A custom license that fits your needs is the 'default' option. We have however listed three standard licenses below so that you can see right away how such a license would suit your needs. Please note that none of the standard licenses allow outside patches to be used outside.

• Mini deployer license
   for one computer only - price $50 (USD)
  Allows the creation of 12 inside patches every year. The patches may be copied, distributed and used (inside as well as outside) any number of times.
• In-house license
   for all your computers - price $100 (USD)
  In addition to the mini deployer license the in-house license also allows the creation of an unlimited number of inside patches that may only be used inside.
• Corporate license
   for all your computers - price $1000 (USD)
  Allows the creation of an unlimited number of inside patches that may be used freely, and additionally allows the creation of an unlimited number of outside patches that may only be used inside.

It is possible to buy the standard licenses from Kagi, but we will still very much like to hear from you even if you don't need a custom license; please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments that you might have.
